October Update
Hello District 4! For those of you that attended our Fall District Meeting I want to thank you for participating. I hope you all had a great time meeting people from District 4 and making new connections. First off, I want to announce our PR Officer, Devon Oakden from Broadalbin-Perth! She is going to be working by my side to unite and grow our district so we can see more unity and share our chapters success stories. Make sure to follow our District 4 Instagram page @nyfbladistrict4 where we will post photos from FDM plus other important FBLA information! Also, make sure to keep an eye out for the Fall Edition of the District 4 Newsletter! It will be posted on my page on the nysfbla website and will have important announcements.
Finally, I want to remind you of all of my goals for our district. I look forward to uniting District 4 FBLA and expanding our membership. If any of you have any ideas on activities that will bring ALL chapters together, please contact me at svp4@nysfbla.org or on Instagram @avajump.fbla! Once again thank you all for attending this year’s FDM and I hope to see you all soon!
September Update
Welcome back District 4! I hope that the first few weeks of school have been good for you all. Reminder that our FDM is on October 18th, 2024, and will run from 9am – 12 pm. So far, I have reached out to several potential speakers but if any of you have specific people you’d want to see at our FDM please let me know either via email, svp4@nysfbla.org or via Instagram, avajump.fbla.
Make sure to check out the District 4 Newsletter and be sure you register for FDM so you can learn about so many different topics in the field of business. If you are interested in running for either District Secretary or District Public Relations Officer, please make sure to have a completed resume and fill out the application that was sent out with registration. The expectations are included in the Welcome Back Newsletter.
Once again, I hope you all have had a great start to the year, and I am beyond excited for FDM!
August Update
Welcome back District 4! I hope you all are as excited as I am for this FBLA year and are ready to jump back into the world of business. In the upcoming weeks there will be a Welcome Back Newsletter published. There, you will find important information about deadlines, Program of Work, and of course, our Fall District Meeting! FDM will take place on Friday October 18, 2024, at Bryant and Stratton College in Albany. The meeting will run from 9-12:30 with the workshops beginning at around 9:30. I am working hard to make sure it’s a fun, interactive meeting with many different workshops that will help you throughout the FBLA year.
I look forward to a successful year with you all and make sure to keep an eye out for any further updates. As always feel free to contact me with any questions, comments and/or concerns. I hope to see you all at our Fall District Meeting!
July Update
Hello District 4! As some of you might know I am Ava Jump, and I will be serving as your District 4 SVP. Before I get into my agenda for this year I would like to tell you a little bit about me. I will be a junior at Sharon Springs Central School, and I have been in FBLA since I was a freshman. I play soccer, basketball, and softball. In my free time I like to bake, especially cakes. I hope to pursue a career in pastry arts and eventually own my own business, but I am also keeping accounting in the back of my mind.
My goals for the year are to unite our district with engaging activities for all chapters and increase our membership by both recruiting more members for current chapters and creating new ones. I will work closely with the State Officer team, especially with your State Secretary, Yasmin Issa, to ensure I complete these goals.
One of the most important things to me is communication so I welcome you to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns. You can do this by sending me an email at svp4@nysfbla.org or reaching out to me via Instagram at avajump.fbla. Once again, I am so excited to be serving as your District 4 SVP and I am looking forward to a great year with you all!
