Please keep a look out in your emails and on these updates to make sure you don’t miss anything coming up for our district! We plan on fundraising so much more and fostering a comfortable environment to network!
Our Spring District Meeting is January 31, 2025, which means you have 2 months left to prepare for your tests! I encourage you to study and practice heavily over these next few months to ensure that you can compete at the State Leadership Conference. A great tip I suggest is having more than 1 meeting a week in your chapters to divvy up the workload. We want to crush it at SLC and it’s crucial to begin early!
Over the next few months, I will be more active on social media as SDM, testing, and POW deadlines approach. All the tips, tricks, and resources you need will be in the palm of your hand. Again, if you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at svp9@nysfbla.org. I will reach back out as soon as I can.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
October Update

Keep a look out for your newly inducted District Officer team coming soon. They will be assisting me in making sure our district’s morale is high, that all chapters have help with fundraising, and ultimately growing our district as a whole. They are another resource for you should you need any help in your chapters!

July Update
Hello, New York FBLA! I am Summer Trevino, your District 9 State Vice President for the 24-25 year! I am overjoyed to serve on the State Officer team this year and honored to collaborate meaningfully with all chapters and districts.
State Officer Training was held recently in Greenwich for a week in July, and I and the rest of the officer team have achieved so many things over that week. We grew as professionals and worked tirelessly to ensure that over the year, we would provide quality work to represent NYS FBLA. We worked on several projects, which includes the new Program of Work competitions (which I highly encourage everyone to participate in!), choosing the new State Charity, where we will be donating to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital this year, and brainstorming on how to grow our organization. Our progress at this training session has heightened my confidence in what we can do during the rest of this year.
As the new school year approaches, chapters and districts have a fresh opportunity to fully engage with all that FBLA truly is. One of my goals is to show new and current members that FBLA is more than just a business organization; it is an enjoyable and fun chance to expand their horizons, create lasting bonds, and grow personally. To highlight all FBLA has to offer, I plan to visit as many schools as possible that do not yet have FBLA chapters, presenting information to them and attempting to grow our district as well as our network. I will also visit current FBLA schools to discuss various topics, such as the Program of Work, State Office, and the State and National Leadership Conferences. These efforts will also be incorporated into our Fall and Spring District Meetings as well as several fun workshops.
I could not be more excited to work with NYS FBLA and make this the best year yet! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or just want updates, please email svp9@nysfbla.org or check out my FBLA Instagram, @summer.fbla.
